Key Features

Enterprise Class VoIP Gateway Technology

Leveraging the same industry leading technology as deployed in Fortune 500 companies, MDU property complexes will be provisioned with the enterprise class of best-of-breed, core media gateway architectures. Our manufacturing agreements with companies such as Cisco and AudioCodes bring VoIP market leadership in voice compression technology and originators of the ITU G.723.1 standard for the Voice over IP market. Our voice network products feature media gateway and media server platforms, which function as core gateways or CPE voice gateways for packet-based applications in the wireline, wireless, broadband access, and enhanced voice services markets. The enabling technologies and products include VoIP, CTI and call logging communication boards, VoIP media gateway processors and modules.

The gateway design allows residents to continue to use existing phones and lines with no unit requirements for special routers or cabling.

Hardware and Software Infrastructure

  • Application Server(s) - The application servers allow for routing of VoIP calls to terminate within worldwide VoIP and traditional Telco destinations. They control access to the network and caller authentication supporting IAX, H323 and SIP calls from third parties.
  • Web Server(s) - Web servers facilitate the hosting of database functions for billing and administration as well as hosted images for the establishment of branded solutions and reseller structures.
  • Database Server(s) – The database server is separate from the web server for security purposes, keeping the IP Address and Web Address separate. The database server controls the billing and recorded information from the application server.

Unparalled Bandwidth Performance for the VoIP and Internet

Our design incorporates unsurpassed bandwidth to support even the worst case scenario for user VoIP and internet usage. As compared to other implementations that limit performance as usage increases, MDUs will have 3 – 6 times the performance and scalability versus other properties. This represents a significant differentiator for prospective renters and positions the property development team and its partners as the premier internet and VoIP provider in the industry.

Redundancy of VoIP Network and Servers

Included in the network and hardware design is automatic fail over from the local data centers to disaster recovery sites within the U.S. Call routing is optimized by 2N+2 local switching and multiple carriers for load balancing and reliability.
